How a PP Sheet Winder Works:
1. Sheet Feeding
After extrusion and cooling, the PP sheet is guided into the winder.
Rollers align the sheet to ensure proper winding.
2. Tension Control
Tension is regulated to prevent wrinkles or stretch marks.
Typically managed by load cells, pneumatic brakes, or motor feedback systems.
3. Winding
The sheet is wound onto a core (usually a paper or plastic tube).
The winder uses either:
- Surface contact winding
- Center winding (driven by the core shaft)
4. Traverse (Side-to-Side Motion)
A traversing arm or guide shifts the sheet side-to-side to layer it evenly on the roll.
5. Roll Change
When one roll is full, the machine either stops or automatically switches to a new roll (in turret or dual-station winders).
